LWI to     Blue Mountain
                Empire
                Twenty Mile Mines:



These directions are for all three mines combined, since they fall in a line going east.

East on Hwy 40 through Vernal into CO.

Continue on 40 through Dinosaur, CO.

Blue Mtn (Deserado Mine): on 40 at MM 15 turn south (R) at dirt road, (marked).

Follow for about 5 miles to "haul" road (marked)
go through intersection and take the paved road immediately after the intersection.
Follow to mine, warehouse at bottom level.

Empire Mine Services: continue on 40 E to Craig, CO.

on approaching West side of Craig, at light for Jct 13, turn South (R).
continue on 13 for appr 8 miles,
continue past the power plant.
at MM 82 you will find a dirt road on the left.
Go through gate and around the hill.
At the intersection turn right for the silos and the train load out,
turn left for the mine (guessing on this, I have only been to the silos).
Going to the silos, you will go across a one lane bridge and RR tracks.

Twenty Mile Mine: continue on E 40 through Craig, CO.

continue on E 40 through Hayden.
proceed past the airport turn off.
a mile or so past the airport take the paved road to the right (marked).
Follow for about twenty miles up the canyon to mine.
